Pablo Larraín, a renowned Chilean filmmaker known for his diverse body of work, including films like “Spencer” starring Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana, “Jackie” featuring Natalie Portman as Jackie Kennedy, and critically acclaimed works such as “Post Mortem,” “No,” and “Neruda,” is currently in Italy. He is being honored by Italy's National Museum of Cinema with a prestigious lifetime achievement award.
During a masterclass conducted by museum president Domenico De Gaetano on Tuesday, Larraín discussed his latest projects. One of them is the Netflix film “El Conde,” which is anticipated to premiere at the Venice Film Festival. Larraín is also working on “Maria,” a biopic about the legendary soprano Maria Callas. Angelina Jolie is set to portray Callas in the film, which is currently in the pre-production phase.
